Scott

Scott Powell serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Medical Group. Prior to founding Alpha Medical Group in 2002, Scott was Senior Vice President of Weatherby Healthcare. Scott assisted in the sale of Weatherby Healthcare to CompHealth and led the TransistionTeam.  He then spent two years as Executive Vice President of the Norwalk office of the CHG Group.  His career in physician recruitment began in 1985 placing Emergency Physicians and later moved into managing numerous departments of recruiters in a variety of specialties.

Scott earned a degree in Communication from the University of Connecticut in 1988.  Scott resides in Easton, Connecticut with Barbara, a high school educator, his wife of 25+ years, and their four children. He is an avid hockey fan and is involved with several local not for profit organizations as a Board Member and a volunteer.

Jim Hock joined Alpha Medical Group in January, 2006 and serves as Senior Vice President of Alpha Medical Group and manages its Psychiatry Division. Mr. Hock has overseen the growth and strategic development of this division.  In 2010, he coordinated the successful launch of Alpha Medical Group's Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner department. He has developed a comprehensive organizational induction and retention program designed to lower physician turnover while increasing productivity.

Mr. Hock has an up to date working knowledge of healthcare recruitment. His insight and experience uniquely lends itself to meeting the needs of both candidates and clients in a timely and professional manner. On an annual basis he conducts seminars with local residency programs for physicians entering the healthcare field. Jim has worked extensively with some of the country's top Hospitals and Medical Centers.

Mr. Hock received his Masters of Business Administration from Sacred Heart University and resides in Trumbull with his wife Jane, and their three children. They are active in local charitable and volunteer organizations.

 

  

Bob

Robert Longmuir serves as Senior Vice President of the Surgery Division. His clients include several academic institutions as well as many of the nation's largest private practices and medical centers. With over nineteen years of healthcare recruitment experience, Robert was instrumental in the development of the Surgery Department. He is responsible for new client development and placement retention.

Robert conducts seminars with local residency training programs for physicians entering the healthcare field and has spoken with national organizations on the current physician marketplace.

Robert resides in Fairfield, Connecticut with his wife of 20+ years, Jennifer, and their five children. He is actively involved in his community and sits on several boards for local and regional not-for profits.
